stl3/+ ; Dl9/+ ovarioles show defects in follicle separation, resulting in compound follicle and compound ovarioles not seen in either single heterozygote.

95.4% of stl4/+ ; Dl9/+ ovarioles have compound or morphologically disrupted follicles.

Transheterozygotes with toc alleles exhibit ovary defects.

Double heterozygotes of Dl9 with da2 show ovarian defects as for mutant da genotypes: stalkless ovaries, compound egg chambers and no distinction between germarium and vitellarium. Females doubly heterozygous for Nl1N-ts1 and Dl9 show compound egg chambers and missing stalks.
