Embryos exhibit a ventral cuticle phenotype.

(Porter et al., 1995)

Lethal when in homozygous or heterozygous combination with hh^A, hh^AC, hh^AE or hh^AM.

At 25^oC naked cuticle is absent between most denticle belts of almost all segments. In a su(w^a) background at 25^oC denticle bands are of normal morphology and the corresponding regions of naked cuticle. In a su(w^a) background at 18^oC the regions of naked cuticle are larger.

Weak phenotype. Mutant embryos show fusions that delete the naked cuticle usually between abdominal segments 1 and 2 and 6, 7 and 8.
