Comment:

The Notum72Da-1 mutation was induced on the NotumEPg31259 chromosome which carries a P{EPg} insertion approximately 1kb upstream of Notum. Notum72Da-1 is a G to A nucleotide change at the second or third position of the wild type Trp codon leading to a nonsense mutation. (exact site of mutation unspecified). The mutation was annotated at the secon base of the codon.

Kennison.

Separable from: separable lethal mutation. The original "Notum72Da-1" chromosome contains a second site lethal mutation, because flies homozygous for the chromosome are embryonic lethal, but hemizygotes carrying the "Notum72Da-1" chromosome over Df(3L)st-f13 or other Notum mutant alleles are larval-early-pupal lethal.
