Fails to exhibit the Ubx effect: heterozygotes fail to partially transform the capitellum of the haltere into the wing blade.

Homozygous flies die at 29oC and survive at 19oC.

temperature-sensitive recessive lethal flies survive at 19oC but not at 29oC. Although not displaying the Ubx-enhancing effect in combination with +, it does inhibit the effect of RpII2154 at 29oC but not at 25oC or 19oC. temperature-sensitive lethal

Marcal1del/Marcal1del RpII215K1/+ embryos show a reduced hatching rate compared to controls at 20[o]C.

Flies carrying RpII215K1, RpII140A5 and RpII140SM are viable: i.e. RpII215K1 and RpII140SM show reciprocal suppression.

The recessive lethality of RpII215K1 is rescued to more than 50% viability by one copy of RpII140S1, RpII140S2, RpII140S5, RpII140S6 or RpII140S8. The recessive lethality of RpII215K1 is rescued to between 1 and 49% viability by one copy of RpII140S7, RpII140S11 or RpII140S12. The recessive lethality of RpII215K1 is suppressed by RpII140M or RpII140S.
