Detailed Description

Reference

The first basal wing cell (between veins L3 and L4) is compressed almost out of existence, and veins L3 and L4 continue parallel and close together to the wing margin. The wing is therefore narrow and pointed. The postvertical and posterior scutellar bristles are frequently missing. The eyes are small, rough and narrowly oval. The penetrance of the phenotype is complete. Viability is imperfect.

Comments

The phenotype and position of the mutation are similar to both shf and ov. This allele could therefore be mutated in both shf and ov or all three mutations could be alleles of the same locus.

On basis of phenotype and position, could be an allele of either ov or shf or both; not tested.
