Most uex2/uex4 and uex4/Df(2R)247 animals die in the pupal stage or during eclosion. Rare uex4/Df(2R)247 adult escapers exhibit smaller body size, misshapen hind legs and unextended wings within incomplete penetrance - escapers show any combination of these phenotypes and sometimes appear fully wild type.
Most uex4/Df(2R)M41A10 animals die in the pupal stage or during eclosion, with escapers having unextended wings.
uex4/Df(2R)34-2 animals are largely viable with wild type legs and wings.
uex4/uexL2 animals are largely viable with wild type legs and wings, though significant pupal lethality is seen.
Rare hemizygous survivors may have etched tergites and small bodies.
Hemizygotes are pupal lethal. Adult escapers have unexpanded wings, misshapen third legs, etched tergites and a small body size.
