      Heat shocked flies show high receptivity but strong rejection behaviour. They refused mating in the same manner as wild type females: extruding ovipositor towards the courting males. Ovulation rate is markedly stimulated, up to 80--90%. Both of these effects are transient: ovulation stimulation lasting slightly longer than reduced receptivity.
