Description

Deletion originating at one end of the P element which removes 5'regulatory sequences, extending 2kb upstream of the start site of transcription.

A 1.6kb deletion removes most of the P element of the parental allele and 1kb of flanking upstream sequence, including all known otu upstream regulatory sequences. The downstream target site duplication and 14bp of the P element inverted repeat remain.
