      PEV phenotype of P{bw+L}92C in T(2;3)V21 is enhanced when the P{bw+L}92C is duplicated at the site of insertion, in line V21-E1. In transposase-induced revertants of this phenotype, one of the copies is lost leaving a single copy of P{bw+L} as for T(2;3)V21. More extreme derivatives, e.g. V21-E2E1(multi) have additional copies of the P{bw+L} element. Increased copy number leads to decreased frequency of expressing cells.
