Homozygous insertions cause a moderate extra-vein phenotype at 25oC.

Flies carrying rhoMod have ectopic wing vein material.

One copy causes a short ectopic segment of vein between wing veins L3 and L4 near the margin and slight L3 and L4 deltas.

In the absence of heat induction individuals display a moderate constitutive excess vein phenotype. Homozygous phenotype is strongly suppressed by heterozygous rhove-1.
