An additional insertion of approximately 7kb between the pre-existing tandem Dana\Tom elements in Dana\Om(2D)63. The internally deleted Dana\Tom element present in Dana\Om(2D)63 is also still present.
Abnormal eye phenotype. Differentiating photoreceptor neurons in the eye imaginal discs of late third instar disappear from the centre of the eye disc and those remaining at the periphery are irregularly arranged.
Ommatidia are present in two separate masses on the dorsal and ventral rims of the eye. Pigmented tissue forms a crescent in these areas. Rough cuticularised tissues with scattered bristles and hairs are seen medially to these areas. Necrosis of the eye discs starts during third larval instar.
Extreme revertant.
Extreme Dana\Om(2D)63 derivative.
