At the restrictive temperature of 29oC, maliMBT tldMBT yetiMBT spzMBT mutants show 100% lethality during the third larval instar. Third instar larvae have brain tumours of undifferentiated tissue. If these animals are rescued with tld+t12, they show 100% pupal lethality and hyperplastic brains at the restrictive temperature. At the restrictive temperature of 29oC, tldMBT yetiMBT mutants show 90% pupal lethality. The brain of third instar larvae is hyperplastic. If these animals are rescued with tld+t12, they show 30% pupal lethality and normal brains at the restrictive temperature. At the restrictive temperature of 29oC, tldMBT yetiMBT spzMBT mutants show 100% lethality during the third larval instar. Third instar larvae have brain tumours of undifferentiated tissue. If these animals are rescued with tld+t12, they show 60% pupal lethality and hyperplastic brains at the restrictive temperature.

Increased dose of tld+ does not suppress the dpp mutant phenotype.
