      The reporter construct is expressed in a pattern that is a subset of the total Con expression pattern. It is expressed strongly in the gnathal sense organs and in the somatic mesoderm of the thoracic segments. Some staining is observed in the abdominal somatic mesoderm but no CNS expression is seen.
