      Mutant animals show overgrown hematopoietic organs (lymph glands) with formation of secondary melanotic tumours in the hemocoele and atrophy of the imaginal discs. Clonal analysis in wing discs reveals a failure in cell proliferation, with a non-autonomous effect on surrounding wild type cells.
