      Transheterozygotes are male and female sterile, exhibit rough eyes, bristle and wing defects (both enhanced at 18oC), brain defects, meiosis is mostly normal (motile sperm) with some nondisjunction. Heterozygotes with Df(3R)Hdγ1 are viable but female sterile.
