      Deletion of pattern elements in the thorax and abdomen, including T2, T3, A2 and A4 is seen in embryos heat shocked before gastrulation. The most severe defects are seen in gths.PK homozygotes, where most of the pattern elements in the thorax and anterior abdomen up to A6 are deleted.
