      Post fertilisation embryonic mortality exceeds 90%. Shows an abnormal egg phenotype - chorions are translucent and fragile and are shorter in length and greater in width than wild type. Embryos show developmental abnormalities ranging from early syncytial blastoderm arrest to inviable but apparently fully developed embryos.
