      Produces a typical rost mutant phenotype when expressed in embryos using Scer\GAL4twi.PG; embryos show irregularities in muscle arrangement. Many unfused myoblasts are arranged in groups where muscles would normally form. Some myoblasts have contact with elongated myotubes but they remain unfused. The lateral longitudinal, lateral oblique and some of the more ventral muscles are the muscles that are mainly affected.
