Normal looking individualisation complexes (ICs) are seen in the testes of X/kl-516 males. Spermatid tails show irregularities.
Male sterile in combination with Ts(1Lt;YSt)V24, Ts(1Lt;YSt)W27 or Ts(1Lt;YSt)E15. Male fertile in combination with Ts(1Lt;YLt)V8 or Ts(1Lt;YLt)W19. kl-516 testes show degradation in the basal testicular region. Sperm are absent from the seminal vesicles.
Male sterile phenotype can be reverted in the presence of a transposase source.
