      Mutants stall in metamorphic development between 3 and 6 hours after puparium formation. Homozygous larvae lack imaginal discs. Females containing homozygous germline clones produce very few eggs, all of which fail to hatch.

      Homozygotes show an arrest in development during the prepupal period. idaB4/Df(3L)GN19 animals fail to eclose.
