Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

In serial sections of embryos that ubiquitously expressed crqScer\UAS.cFa (driven by Scer\GAL4hs.PB and heatshocked for 1hr at 30oC), apoptotic corpses were not engulfed by cells other than macrophages, thus ectopic expression of crqScer\UAS.cFa is not sufficient to confer phagocytic ability on other cells in the embryo.

Comments

crqScer\UAS.cFa driven by Scer\GAL4hs.PB and heatshocked for 1hr at 30oC, in a Df(2L)al homozygote, can partially rescue the phagocytotic phenotype exhibited by the deficiency producing a phagocytic index (PI) for apoptotic corpses of 2.20, as opposed to 0.26 in Df(2L)al homozygotes and 3.96 in wild type.
