      Reference

      Reporter gene expression is observed solely in germ line cells and not in follicle cells. Expression is observed in germ line cells very near the tip of the germarium which include the cystoblasts and the two-cell cysts. In contrast to the wild type bam expression pattern, reporter activity is sometimes detected in stem cells.
