Expression of Mef2II.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4P0.5.Pdf causes long locomotor activity rhythms, with a period of 25.1 +/- 0.1 hours.
Expression of Mef2II.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.Scer\UAS causes long locomotor activity rhythms, with a period of 25.6 +/- 0.3 hours. 47.6% of the flies have a single rhythm, 28.6% of flies have a complex rhythm (classified as more than one rhythmic period detectable above the 95% significance line using Lomb-Scargle analysis of periodograms) and 23.8% are arrhythmic.
Embryos expressing Mef2II.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 secrete a cuticle of normal thickness that has denticle belts, although they show patterning defects. No phenotype is produced by the expression of Mef2II.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4twi.PB.
Partially rescues the phenotypes of Mef222-21 embryos when expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B at 18oC. At 29oC, the somatic musculature is essentially rescued, although occasional muscles in some hemisegments are missing. Unfused myoblasts are not seen in the embryos at 29oC.
