Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn5/nonAUAS.cSa partially rescues nonA9
Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn1/nonAUAS.cSa partially rescues nonA9
Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn7/nonAUAS.cSa fails to rescue nonA9
Rescues the optomotor response defects of nonA9 flies when expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn1, Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn3 or Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn4, but not when expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn7. Partially rescues the optomotor response defects of nonA9 flies when expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn5. P{UAS-nonA.S}9A rescues the ERG defects of nonA9 flies when expressed under the control of P{nonA-GAL4.Kpn1}21A; the ERG has light-on and light-off transients, although their amplitudes are significantly higher than wild type. Does not rescue the ERG defects of nonA9 flies when expressed under the control of P{nonA-GAL4.Kpn1}28A, P{nonA-GAL4.Kpn1}30G, Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn3, Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn4, Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn5 or Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn7. The average cycles per pulse (CPP) value for the very first pulse of the song burst is significantly higher in mutant males than in control males. This defect is not rescued by nonAScer\UAS.cSa expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn1, Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn3 or Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn4 or Scer\GAL4nonA.Kpn7.
