      pumPdL58A2 homozygotes are viable and do not show any obvious defects. Expression of pumPdL58A2 during development under the combined control of Tn10\tetRAct5C.T:Hsim\VP16 and doxycycline treatment results in a fully penetrant curled wing phenotype in adults, while this expression only during adulthood leads to a small but significant decrease in life span compared to controls (without doxycycline).
