Detailed Description
Statement

One copy of BgbD has no effect on hemocyte proliferation in third instar larvae.

The axons of the lch1 neurons do not follow the segmental nerve but incorrectly project towards the lch5 and follow the intersegmental nerve to the midline in homozygous embryos. This phenotype shows incomplete expressivity. A similar phenotype, with higher expressivity, is seen in BgbD/Df(3L)Bgb-K4 embryos. Homozygous embryos do not have segmentation defects. Homozygous clones in the eye have no defects in the external morphology of the facets. The morphology of all retinal cells is normal.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Rare lzts1 ; BgbD/Df(3L)Bgb-K4 escapers are seen. These flies are extremely weak and can only be rescued if they are dissected from the pupal case. They have a strong adult eye phenotype that is identical to that of a null lz mutant.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

One copy of BgbD moderately enhances the hemocyte overproliferation seen in third instar larvae when Hsap\RUNX1::Hsap\RUNX1T1Scer\UAS.cSa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ.
