RafS388A.hs partially rescues Raf11
Expression of phlS388A.hs in phl11/Y embryos which lack both maternal and zygotic phl function rescues 97% of the embryos so that they resemble embryos which lack maternal but not zygotic phl function (having a "torso" phenotype). The remaining 3% of embryos have a composite "imperfect torso phenotype", having denticle belts of reduced width and being twisted, in addition to having the head and tail defects associated with the torso phenotype.
