      Expression of sqdEP746 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 (the animals are initially raised at 18oC and then shifted to 29oC after 10 days) causes spermatogonia to continue mitotic proliferation at the expense of differentiation. This defect is seen in at least 50% of testes examined.
