When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4^bi-md653 projections of dorsal and ventral medulla cortical cell populations is affected. Photoreceptor axons also project abnormally. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4^ap-md544, axons of dorsal and ventral cortical cells project abnormally, though those in midline positions project normally.
