    Detailed Description

    Reference

    Has no effect on rhythmicity.

Mosaics demonstrate a correlation between wing cuticle genotype and the dy phenotype, wings are small if they are included in mutant patches of tissue, and normal if they are included within wild type tissue. dy product acts locally and probably executes a cell-autonomous function to direct wing differentiation.

    Dusky wing phenotype.

Wing length is shorter than wild type and cell density is higher than wild type. Wing cell boundaries are not visible in homozygotes.

    Notes on Origin
    Discoverer

    Separable from: CkIIβAnd.

The 'Andante' mutant chromosome carries two independent EMS-induced mutations, one in dy (dyQ189stop) and one in CkIIβ (CkIIβAnd). The dyQ189stop mutation has no effect on rhythmicity, rather the CkIIβAnd allele is responsible for the circadian long-period phenotype of the mutant chromosome.

    Associated with: CkIIβAnd.
