        Mutants show ventralisation and a "dumpless" phenotype. The penetrance of the dumpless phenotype is about 50%, while the ventralisation phenotype is fully penetrant. Actin bundles form and nurse cell contraction occurs prematurely during stage 9 and 10A in some mutant egg chambers.
