Detailed Description

Homozygous embryos dervied from homozygous female germline clones die with a strong segment polarity phenotype; the embryos have a "lawn of denticles" phenotype and fail to secrete naked cuticle. Zygotically wild-type embryos dervied from homozygous female germline clones develop a pair-rule phenotype with denticle deletions.

Axnunspecified pygoF15 double null embryos have a "lawn of denticles" phenotype resembling the phenotype of pygoF15 single mutant embryos. Axnunspecified pygoF15 double mutant clones in the wing result in wing notching and ectopic wing margin bristles, resembling the phenotype of pygoF15 single mutant embryos.
