Rescue fragment composed of genomic and cDNA sequences that contains the Poxn upstream region from -3882bp (relative to the "upstream" Poxn transcription start site) and Poxn 5' leader, coding and 3' trailer sequences.

The defects in taste bristles on the leg, labellum and anterior wing margin seen in Poxn^ΔM22-B5 flies are not rescued by Poxn^PK. The leg and antenna segmentation defects seen in Poxn^ΔM22-B5 flies are rescued by Poxn^PK. The defects in the posterior lobe and penis seen in Poxn^ΔM22-B5 males are not rescued by Poxn^PK and male fertility is not rescued. Poxn^PK does not rescue the flying capability of Poxn^ΔM22-B5 flies. Poxn^PK partially rescues the courting defects of Poxn^ΔM22-B5 males; the fraction of males which court under daylight conditions is increased and males show some courtship under red light conditions.
