PoxnEvK partially rescues PoxnΔM22-B5
The defects in taste bristles on the labellum seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 flies are not rescued by PoxnEvK, but the defects in taste bristles on the leg and anterior wing margin are rescued. The leg and antenna segmentation defects seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 flies are rescued by PoxnEvK. The defects in the posterior lobe seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 males are not rescued by PoxnEvK and male fertility is not rescued. The defects in penis structure are rescued. PoxnEvK does not rescue the flying capability of PoxnΔM22-B5 flies. PoxnEvK rescues the courting defects (in both daylight and red light conditions) of PoxnΔM22-B5 males. The defects in taste bristles on the leg, labellum and anterior wing margin seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 flies are rescued if the flies are carrying both PoxnEvK and PoxnL1. The leg and antenna segmentation defects seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 flies are rescued if the flies are carrying both PoxnEvK and PoxnL1. The defects in the posterior lobe and penis seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 males are rescued if the flies are carrying both PoxnEvK and PoxnL1 and male fertility is also rescued. The flying capability of PoxnΔM22-B5 flies is not rescued if the flies are also carrying both PoxnEvK and PoxnL1. The courting defects (in both daylight and red light conditions) of PoxnΔM22-B5 males are rescued if the flies are carrying both PoxnEvK and PoxnL1.
