Description

Rescue fragment composed of genomic and cDNA sequences that contains Poxn upstream sequences and Poxn 5' leader, coding and 3' trailer sequences. Some Poxn intron sequences are also present. The Poxn upstream sequences contain a deletion of some sequence.

Comments

The defects in taste bristles on the leg, labellum and anterior wing margin seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 flies are not rescued by PoxnΔKBs. The leg and antenna segmentation defects seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 flies are not rescued by PoxnΔKBs. The defects in the posterior lobe and penis seen in PoxnΔM22-B5 males are rescued by PoxnΔKBs and male fertility is partially rescued. PoxnΔKBs does not rescue the flying capability of PoxnΔM22-B5 flies. PoxnΔKBs rescues the courting defects in daylight conditions of PoxnΔM22-B5 males and the rescued males show some courtship under red light conditions.
