Construct: A 750 bp fragment comprising nos promoter and 5' UTR sequences is fused upstream of the CycB coding region. nos 3'UTR sequences are also present downstream of the CycB coding region.

      Pole cells prematurely enter mitosis in embryos derived from females carrying CycBnos.nos3'UTR. The pole cells colonise the gonads normally in these embryos, and they develop into viable, fertile adults. The average number of pole cells per embryo is increased compared to controls.
