Description

The entire exon 11 area of Mhc+t24.1 has been replaced by a cDNA fragment from a major embryonic isoform of Mhc, composed of exons 10, 11c (exon 11c contains the embryonic-specific converter region) and 12, so that only exon 11c is expressed.

      Two day old flies expressing MhcIFI-EC in a Mhc10 background have indirect flight muscle myofibrils which are almost indistinguishable from wild type. These animals can fly.
