FlyBase curator comment: This corrects the amino acid alteration as reported in FBrf0155944. The Q693 lesion is stated with respect to splice variant product C. In terms of mus312-PA this would be Q689, and in terms of mus312-PB it corresponds to Q674.
Amino acid replacement: Q693term.
Stated to be amino acid replacement: Q718@, however subsequent clarification, Sekelsky, 2005.11.28, personal communication to FlyBase, explains numbering problem and provides accurate statement.

Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change. Difference between reported substitution and curated substitution resolved through a personal communication with J. Sekelsky.
X-ray irradiation of wild-type third-instar larvae induces cell cycle arrest within 1 hour. In contrast, X-ray irradiation of mus312Z3997/mus312D1 mutant larvae fails to induce cell cycle arrest.
Mutant larvae are sensitive to nitrogen mustard and to methyl methanesulfonate (compared to control larvae).
mus312Z3997/mus312D1 animals have an X chromosome non-disjunction rate of 24%.
