Description

FlyBase curator comment: This corrects the amino acid alteration as reported in FBrf0155944. The Q693 lesion is stated with respect to splice variant product C. In terms of mus312-PA this would be Q689, and in terms of mus312-PB it corresponds to Q674.

Amino acid replacement: Q693term.

Stated to be amino acid replacement: Q718@, however subsequent clarification, Sekelsky, 2005.11.28, personal communication to FlyBase, explains numbering problem and provides accurate statement.

X-ray irradiation of wild-type third-instar larvae induces cell cycle arrest within 1 hour. In contrast, X-ray irradiation of mus312Z3997/mus312D1 mutant larvae fails to induce cell cycle arrest.

Mutant larvae are sensitive to nitrogen mustard and to methyl methanesulfonate (compared to control larvae).

mus312Z3997/mus312D1 animals have an X chromosome non-disjunction rate of 24%.
