When Or22aScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is driven by Scer\GAL4Or22a.8197 in Df(2L)dp-79b/Dp(2;2)dppd21 (Δhalo) flies, mutant animals exhibit a strong response to exposure to pentyl acetate, ethyl butyrate or 1-octen-3-ol in the ab3A neuron. A strong response is not seen in response to exposure to ethyl acetate, methyl salicylate, 1-hexanol, E2-hexanal, 2,3-butanedione, 2-heptanone or geranyl acetate.
Or22aScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Or22a.8197 rescues the response of the ab3A neurons in the antenna to odours in Df(2L)dp-79b/Dp(2;2)dppd21 flies.
Or22aScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Or22a.8197 rescues the response of the ab3A neurons in the antenna to odours in flies mutant for "Δhalo" (in which Df(2L)dp-79b and Dp(2;2)dppd21 are recombined onto the same chromosome to create a synthetic deficiency).
