      When GripScer\UAS.cSa is driven by Scer\GAL4how-24B or Scer\GAL4twi.PG muscle morphology is only slightly affected in the VLMs. Lateral Transverse Muscles (LTMs) are however, very sensitive with respect to GripScer\UAS.cSa overexpression. When driven by Scer\GAL4how-24B, GripScer\UAS.cSa causes LTMs to adopt irregular morphology, bend to attach at the segment border, or produce thin cellular extensions which connect them to segment borders, these phenotypes are never seen in controls. When driven by Scer\GAL45053A no phenotype is seen.
