        Expression of form3GS-G6 under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in embryos with commissures that are thicker and fuzzier than normal, while the longitudinals are thinner than normal with many gaps. Expression of form3GS-G6 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu results in embryos with a collapsed central nervous system axon scaffold, and some Fas2-positive longitudinal axons extend towards and cross the midline.
