The "KG00877" line contains 2 separate insertions; P{3'SUPor-P}twin^KG00877b (corresponding to the site of the flanking sequence BH614837) which maps within twin and P{5'SUPor-P}twin^KG00877a (corresponding to the site of the flanking sequence BH614838), which maps within both twin and cav (overlapping genes on opposite strands) (see FBrf0179476).

An insertion in the "KG00877" chromosome maps within a region that overlaps both the twin and cav genes. The "KG00877" chromosome complements a null allele of cav for both lethality and ovarian phenotypes, indicating that the mutant phenotype is due to an effect on twin and not cav.
