Rheb44.1/Rheb7A1 mutant adult flies have a reduced body weight compared to heterozygous controls.

Lipid content is not increased in Rheb44.1/Rheb7A1 mutant flies compared to controls. Carbohydrate content is slightly decreased.

Cholinesterase activity is significantly reduced in Rheb44.1/Rheb7A1 mutant flies compared to controls.

Rheb2D1/Rheb44.1 mutant adult flies have a reduced body weight compared to heterozygous controls.

Lipid content is increased in Rheb2D1/Rheb44.1 mutant flies compared to controls. Carbohydrate content is similar to controls.

Homozygous Rheb2D1/Rheb44.1 mutant flies exhibit defective electroretinogram (ERG) readings.

Cholinesterase activity is significantly reduced in Rheb2D1/Rheb44.1 mutant flies compared to controls.

Rheb2G5/Rheb44.1 flies weigh significantly less than Rheb44.1/+ animals, and have significantly smaller ommatidia. Compared to Rheb44.1/+ animals, Rheb44.1/Rheb3M2 and Rheb44.1/Rheb7A1 animals are significantly: lighter; have smaller wings and wing cell size; and fewer and smaller ommatidia.

Rheb7A1/Rheb44.1 females have only rudimentary ovaries and are sterile.
