Larval fat body cell clones expressing MntScer\UAS.cLa display fewer digesting autolysosomes than do wild-type cells.

Expression of MntScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in a significantly smaller posterior compartment of the wing.

Expression of MntScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in animals with small eye and head structures.

Clones in the wing disc expressing MntScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP are significantly smaller than control clones. There is an increase in the population of cells in the G[[0]]/G[[1]] phase of the cell cycle and a decrease in the population of cells in S and G[[2]]/M. The cells in the mutant clones are significantly smaller than those in the control clones.

Cells in MntScer\UAS.cLa; Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP somatic clones in the 2nd or 3rd instar larval fat body are smaller than their neighbours, and have significantly lower DNA content (assayed by DAPI fluorescence) than neighbouring cells.
