The P{lacW}Rh4W25 insertion maps within both sina (in the 5'UTR) and Rh4 (in an 8.8kb intron).
Animals carrying the P{lacW}Rh4W25 insertion show no obvious visible effect on the size, shape or venation of the wings. However, when wing shape metrics are analysed using angular offsets for four wing-shape indices, animals carrying the P{lacW}Rh4W25 insertion do show small effects on wing shape compared to the control parent lines.
