guse00456/Df(2R)nap1 flies display abnormal wing morphology, including blistering, formation of ectopic vein material, and loss of material at the margin. These phenotypes occur at low penetrance.
Embryos laid by homozygous guse00456 mutant mothers hatch only rarely and most viable embryos are produced by young females. However, guse00456 in trans to stronger alleles (Df(2R)nap1 or gusf07073), this allele has little effect on embryonic viability.
