Crc10d homozygous flies exhibit a reduction in avoidance of the olfactory repellant 4-methylcyclohexanol compared to wild-type flies in an olfactory T-maze. Heteroallelic Crc10d/CrcEP3167 flies exhibit a reduction in avoidance of the olfactory repellant 3-octanol. The exploratory activity of CrcEP3167/Crc10d flies is not significantly different from wild type, while their climbing ability is actually greater than in wild-type flies.
Separable from: a secondary uncharacterised recessive lethal mutation on the chromosome (that is present on the progenitor CrcEP1084 chromosome).
