Imprecise excision of the P{EP}CG3542^EP719 insertion, removing large parts of the CG3542 coding region.

The left breakpoint of the deletion (twenty first deleted nucleotides) is CATCACTCGC GATCACGAAA, the right breakpoint of the deletion (twenty last deleted nucleotide) is TGGATCGCGA AACGAGGAGC (sequence is given in the same orientation as the coding strand of the gene).

Induction of Prp40^18.2 clones at 0-24 hours after egg deposition leads to absence of surviving Prp40^18.2 cells while induction of Prp40^18.2 clones at 48-72 hours after egg deposition leads to smaller clones in third instar wing disc.

Induction of Prp40^18.2 clones at 0-24 hours after egg deposition leads to highly reduced cell size and DAPI staining intensity in salivary gland cells of third instar larvae.
