Imprecise excision of the P{SUPor-P} element leads to a deletion at the 5' of the Lsd-2 gene.
The net plus-end (phase II) transport of lipid droplets along microtubules is disrupted in Lsd-2Δ2 embryos; lipid droplets are distributed throughout the periphery in the mutants during this phase, while droplets are localized basally in wild-type embryos.
