Males homozygous for CheB42aΔ5-2 have a much reduced courtship index relative to controls. The typical climbing response to mechanosensory detection of gravity, stimulation of food intake by gustatory detection of sucrose is not affected in CheB42aΔ5-2 homozygous males.
